Clara E Burton

About Clara

I have been a Notary Public in Kentucky for about two years. I became a notary as part of my duties as a banker working for Chase Bank. I left Chase in April of 2024 to pursue other adventures. One of them being the construction of a mobile notary business. I am a member of the National Notary Association(NNA), a certified NNA Notary Signing Agent, and a graduate of the Notary2Pro Elite Signing Agent course.

I continue to educate myself in an ongoing way. It is my goal to be the most reliable and knowledgeable Notary and Signing Agent professional possible. I value an attention to detail and quality over quantity. I will do everything I can to ensure a smooth, accurate signing appointment. I know that feedback is the foundation of success. I am always looking for ways to improve and I value any feedback or knowledge a person or institution has to offer.

I have always enjoyed being a notary. Notary Publics play an important role in our community ensuring that people can depend the legitimacy of signatures and statements in documents. I take my role as a preventer of fraud and a protector of the public's rights and wishes seriously. And of course, I love being a notary because it is another excuse to engage in my guilty pleasure of office supplies!

Excellent customer service is what sets businesses apart. Genuine connection and compassion are what elevate customer service beyond the mundane and a slimy sales pitch. I go above and beyond to make my customers feel like a valued friend taken care of by an expert. I truly care about my customers. I want to help in every way I can and if possible, brighten someone’s day.

As a signing agent I know that the closure on a property is a nerve-wracking experience and often the culmination of years of working and saving. To commemorate the moment, I offer to take a Polaroid picture of my clients and put in a simple paper frame with the date stamped on it, so that borrowers can remember and forever cherish the moment they bought their home.

Hire me and you will get someone who cares deeply about the quality of their work and the people that they serve.

In my other life, I am an actor and playwright. I have been practicing theatre for almost 20 years, though it really doesn’t feel like it! I have a degree in theatre with a focus in original work from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Recently my play "Dead Purple" premiered on the stage of Bunbury Theatre directed by Zach Stone. I have also appeared as an actor in "The Importance of Being Earnest" at Highview Arts Center, "The House of Bernada Alba" with The Chamber Theatre and Teatro Tercera Llamada and "The Tempest" as part of the SoIN to Shakespeare program with the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana. If you are interested in learning more about my artistic work you can view my website here.

In my free time I practice yoga, knit, hike, cuddle with my feline beast, spend time with my partner, collect fountain pens and volunteer at the Louisville Metro Animal Shelter.
